For a couple of weeks now, Javier has been learning to make small talk over the phone. I guess it's amusing because my dad has been making long-distance calls just to have small talk with him.
Lolo: How are you, Javier?
Javier: I'm fine, thank you.
Lolo: Where is mama and papa?
Javier: Go to office.
Lolo: Went to the office..
Javier: Went to office.
This is a real biggie because for the longest time, he can't bear to hold the phone and listen to the other person on the line. The fact that he is able to have small conversations over the phone is a big improvement and I hope to see more of these over the coming months.
